The Brand

Blu Playa is the brain child of Dean Macky. Dean grew up in rural NSW in Australia where fashion was definitely not at the forefront of the local community. Shop fronts advertised local produce and farm equipment rather than men’s accessories. Dean moved to the Central Coast of NSW and commenced his career in the civil construction industry. This is where the realisation came that if he was to truly make it, then he would have to transform himself from the site worker to the “men in suits”. Now this is where his passion for high quality men’s fashion started. Over the years as his career took off, he found a gap in the market for high quality items at an affordable price. Dean, forever the entrepreneur, started designing his own accessories for his own personal use. As the interest increased in his unique timepieces and belts, Dean decided he would share his vision and let all men have the opportunity to feel like a million dollars without having to empty the bank account.. Dean created Blu Playa in 2020 and spent months carefully creating his criteria for superior components, then sourced and selected quality materials from around the world so he could deliver his vision for high end quality to all who wish to be elevated to the next level in fashion.
